Why it works

These are not lists headed DOGS and CATS. Each page is one small scene: The Five O’Clock Vigil, The Curtain Climber, The Hamster Escape, Three Rounds on the Pony. The planner’s line for the Vigil is the whole pack in a sentence: “Somebody always knew you were coming before you turned in.” A parakeet, a rabbit, guppies and the barn get pages too.
