At the table

A colleague needs initials for the square “has worn matching PJs” and has to ask around the room. Whoever signs gets the follow-up from the Host List: “What was on your matching pajamas?”

“Fruitcake or cheesecake?” Then the card asks: “Who do you know who would pick it?”

The 75 minutes, game by game

Christmas Find the Guest Bingo as people arrive: 16 different cards and 48 squares; mingle, collect initials, share the stories (15 minutes)
Christmas This or That: 84 pairs; walk to one side of the room, then one story from each side (15 minutes)

Inside the bundle

Why it works

The plan warms the room up in steps. First people talk in pairs, then they pick an answer, then they solve in teams of four, and only then do the gifts change hands. By the exchange, people have already spoken to each other. In Find the Guest anyone may say “not me” or pass. Every square was read in several separate review rounds before release.
