Players: up to 16 with Large Print cards or up to 30 with Classic cards, each with a different card
Time: 5 to 10 minutes for a line game, 15 to 30 for a blackout
You need: scissors for the calling cards, and pens or bingo chips
Print: US Letter and A4, in color or the Ink Saver version in black ink, at 100% (Actual size)
Print size: words on Large Print cards 18 to 24 pt, on Classic cards 14 to 18 pt

At the table

The caller draws a calling card from the bowl, says “LANTERN” twice and holds the picture up for the room. Readers find the word, the youngest players find the drawing, and both mark the same square.

Why it works

On these cards the picture carries the game and the word sits under it, so a child who cannot read yet and a great-grandparent play the same card at the same table.
