At the table

You read the question out: “What was the speed limit on American highways in 1976?” The room votes A, B or C. Then you read the line under the answer, “Were you a careful driver or a quick one?”, and hand it to the guest of honor first.

What anniversary did the United States celebrate on July 4, 1976?

The 3 games

Why it works

You can host it without a pair of scissors: every game can be read aloud from its Host Pack, and the slide decks put every question on a television.

Three generations can sit at one table. The parents remember 1976, the friends grew up in it, and the kids guess from the three choices. Which Came First asks no dates, only which of two things was around first, and the sayings are finished out loud by the whole room. Years and sayings were checked against published sources.

Made for: Friends, family and coworkers planning a 50th birthday, at home, in a rented room or at the office.
