At the table

You read the card twice, slowly: “I’m a skirt that nobody wears. I lie in a circle on the floor, hiding the bottom of the tree.” Teams whisper and write. If a team asks for the hint, everyone hears it: “Presents sit right on top of me.”

Smoke goes up me, Santa comes down me, and I wear a brick coat on the roof.

Why it works

Each card carries its answer upside down. In Pass the Card the reader holds the printed side toward them, the table sees a blank back, and a turn of the card settles it, so a table can play without a host. The Host Pack lists other good answers, so a clever guess is not marked wrong.
