At the table

You read the top card, “Name 3 things that ring or jingle”, and start the slow count the rules give you: “one Christmas tree, two Christmas trees…” Three answers before five and the card is theirs. If not, it slides under the pile and the turn moves on.

Why it works

A countdown suits some tables and not others, so the rules print two calmer ways to play. In Gentle Play there is no timer and every answer earns a point, so one or two answers still count. In Seated Circle a stuck card moves to the next person, and nobody is put on the spot twice in a row.
